Governor Declares August Child Support Awareness Month

The Governor has declared August as Child Support Awareness Month in North Carolina and the Sampson County Social Services Department has joined in the raise awareness of child abuse. See the Governor's Proclamation here

The Sampson County DSS office does quite a bit of work during the 2017-2018 year to ensure children are supported. Take a look at these few statistics:
  • Sampson County Child Support Services serves over 11,000 people every month.
  • Sampson County Child Support Services collected over $6.6 Million for families in 2017-2018.
  • For the Federal Fiscal Year of 2016-2017, the Sampson County Child Support Office operated with a Cost Effectiveness of $6.13.
