The Sampson County Health Department will continue to provide health care services during this difficult time.  The health department will abide by guidelines from the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Women, Infant, and Children (WIC)
The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) office will continue to serve clients while protecting the health of WIC participants. If you or anyone in your family has a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, please call us at (910) 592-1131 to reschedule your appointment. If you have a scheduled appointment or need to make an appointment, please call us at (910) 592-1131 before coming into the office. You may also be able to complete your WIC appointment over the phone. See attached WIC Program Update, as of March 25, 2020, here.

The Environmental Health Department is located in the County Complex in Building “B”.  Our main objective is to promote human health and protect the environment through the practice of rules, public information and/or education and dedication to serving the citizens of Sampson County.  This section is comprised of various areas which includes Food Protection/Institutions, Children’s Environmental Health, On-site Wastewater & Wells, and Private Water Supplies.  All of these are enforced to assure a standard quality of life for all we serve.
