The Environmental Health office is a division of the Sampson County Health Department that offers many programs to help protect and improve the public health of Sampson County through the enforcement of state rules and regulations. The division also offers many educational opportunities and public information meetings.

The Environmental Health Department is located in the County Complex in Building “B”.  Our main objective is to promote human health and protect the environment through the practice of rules, public information and/or education and dedication to serving the citizens of Sampson County.  This section is comprised of various areas which includes Food Protection/Institutions, Children’s Environmental Health, On-site Wastewater & Wells, and Private Water Supplies.  All of these are enforced to assure a standard quality of life for all we serve.

ServSafe Training
Sampson County will sponsor a ServSafe Training Course on September 12, 2019, in the Sampson County Health Department 2nd Floor Conference Room (360 County Complex Rd., Clinton, NC). The registration deadline is August 22, 2019. Click here for more information.
